Bobby Mom, Sardine Tins and Fight Clouds: The Art Behind Our Designs

· Style & Merch

Our Bad Friends collection has twenty designs, and almost every one of them is a joke. Here's what is printed on each, so you can find the piece that fits your sense of humour.

Which designs star the hosts?

Most of them, in one cartoon style or another.

  • Cartoon Faces: two grinning cartoon faces up front, and BAD FRIENDS in red and white block letters on the back.
  • Hairy and Red Beanie: a big ginger-bearded figure with his hand on his shorter friend's shoulder, both staring straight ahead.
  • Mugheads: two heads shaped like mugs, with dripping bad friends lettering rising out of them.
  • Sardine Tin: both faces squeezed into one tin can.
  • Piggyback: a laughing rider in a pink beanie on a ginger-bearded friend holding a pink microphone.

Which ones quote the show?

  • I'm Bobby Mom: a ginger-bearded portrait in headphones, ringed by the line fans know by heart.
  • Can I Say Something: two scruffy cartoon figures trading speech bubbles, I'M BOBBY MOM! and CAN I SAY SOMETHING?
  • Thank You: stacked THANK YOU lines, a thank-you for being a bad friend and a fake warning label about laughing too hard.
  • I'm a Bad Friend: pink circular lettering, the name on the front and a confession on the back.

Which ones are parodies?

Nevermind Baby drops a baby Bobby Lee into a famous nineties album cover, Fiends turns a classic sitcom logo into a diner full of comic-book villains, Burst draws the duo as a nineties cartoon pair, and Fear and Loathing sketches two figures riding low in an open car.

Anything a bit wilder?

Zombie Heads, Fireball and Fight Cloud go full cartoon chaos, Good Times has two skeleton hands clinking bottles, Skull Bolt keeps it to the name and three icons, and Embrace is a dramatic black-ink kiss.
